The SenSen Stability app is a professional tool designed for the measurement and monitoring of balance and strength, grounded in validated protocols from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It offers an objective approach to assessing individuals' postural stability through established tests such as the Four Stage Balance Test (FSBT), the modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction in Balance (mCSTSIB), the Timed Up and Go (TUG), and the 30-second Chair Stand.

The system comprises a Bluetooth-enabled sensor module housed in an elastic belt with a dedicated pouch, accompanied by an iPad preloaded with the application. The tablet interfaces seamlessly with the sensor via Bluetooth, enabling straightforward data collection. During testing, the individual wears the sensor over the sacrum, then follows prompts provided by the app or instructions from a practitioner to perform the assessments.

Data generated by these assessments include traditional metrics such as time in balance for FSBT and mCSTSIB, total time for TUG, and repetitions for Chair Stand. Additionally, proprietary balance scores are calculated for FSBT and mCSTSIB based on movement analysis from the sensor hardware, offering a more nuanced evaluation of stability.

Designed for clinicians and researchers, SenSen Stability facilitates consistent tracking of balance metrics over time. Test results are stored securely in the cloud, allowing users to review historical performance, compare current assessments with previous data, and support data-driven decisions regarding patient progress or intervention efficacy.
